At its first board meeting of the year on January 30, The Goldie Initiative officially installed 16 directors to lead and serve the organization in 2019. The  Goldie Initiative’s mission is to prepare women for senior leadership roles in all sectors of commercial real estate.  The Goldie Initiative does this by providing scholarship support for graduate study, mentorship and networking opportunities to women with high potential who are committed to becoming the leaders in the real estate industry.

The organization is led by Steve Madden, Board President and President/CEO of Libertyville Bank & Trust, a  Wintrust Community Bank. Goldie B. Wolfe Miller serves as the organization’s Founder and Chair. Laura Giampietro, Marketing Communications Consultant at strata-g-marketing, was installed as President-elect.

The Goldie Initiative added several new board members in 2019, including Elizabeth Hozian of Associated Bank, Mary Fran Murphy of Near North Title Group and a Goldie Alumna, and John Petrovski of BMO Harris Bank.
